The 7th Malaysian Furniture and Furnishings Fair (MF3) aims to provide a platform for domestic consumers to access locally made, export-quality furniture and furnishing products at a reasonable price.

Kuala Lumpur and Selangor Furniture Entrepreneur Association (KLSFEA) assistant secretary general Alfo Chong Thiam Fook said Malaysians were unable to obtain locally manufactured furniture because they were mostly exported overseas.

Malaysian-made furniture was ranked eighth in the world, he added.

Chong said that this year’s fair was expected to attract an estimated 80,000 visitors and generate RM60mil in sales.

MF3 is also supported by governmental bodies such as the Malaysian Furniture Entreprenuer Association (MFEA), Malaysian Timber Industry (MTIB) and the Tourism and Culture Ministry.

About 200 exhibitors, including 100 furniture factories and enterprises will be there to showcase their products on that day.

There will also be many contests for visitors and exhibitors to take part in.

Visitors stand a chance of winning over RM50,000 in cash prizes.

As for exhibitors, they can participate in the Best Booth Design Competition.

The fair will be held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre exhibition hall from July 11 to 13 from 10.30am to 9pm daily.

Admission is free.
