The Government has defended the construction of highways such as Kinrara-Damansara (Kidex) in urban areas, saying they were there to complement areas not served by trains.
Deputy Transport Minister Datuk Abd Aziz Kaprawi said the Government, by building these highways, was giving people the choice between cars and public transport.
