SIBU: Property owners under Sibu Municipal Council’s (SMC) jurisdiction can no longer get electricity or water supply from now on without producing an Occupation Permit (OP) from the council.
Chairman Datuk Tiong Thai King in his opening address at the council meeting yesterday said this was because the council had finally managed to obtain consent from both Sesco and Sibu Water Board on the matter.
