THE Seberang Prai Municipal Council (MPSP) has approved the closure of the level crossing in Permatang Batu, Bukit Mertajam.
Its president Maimunah Mohd Sharif said the level crossing will be closed for good from June 1 to make way for the Ipoh-Padang Besar electrified double-tracking project.
