Judiciary, legal fraternity get useful insight into indigenous land rights

KUCHING: Indigenous land rights in other countries and how they are dealt with can provide a useful insight to the judiciary and legal fraternity in addressing similar issues here.

This was the focus of a talk on Maori Land Court and other Indigenous Tribunals, Indigenous Land Rights and Settlements in Australia, Canada, New Zealand and the United States and Indigenous Laws of Pacific Nations held here on Saturday.
