Young patients show gratitude to their mothers through cards

KUCHING: In celebration of the World Red Cross Day and Mother’s Day, the Malaysian Red Crescent (MRC) Stampin Chapter organised a card-designing competition for children warded in the Sarawak General Hospital.

The theme of the competition, which took place over two hours yesterday, was “I Love You, Mother”.

It aimed to cultivate children’s love and gratitude for their mothers who had been taking care of them since birth.

The children had fun making the Mother’s Day cards as a way to show their appreciation for their mother’s love and care.

Present at the event was MRC Stampin Chapter chairman Chong Choon Chiang, who advised the young patients to respect and love their mothers.

He also reminded them to show appreciation and gratitude to their mothers.

He later presented the prizes to the winners individually at their bedsides.
