Department seizes more than 5,000 logs in illegal timber ops


SIBU: The Sarawak Forestry Department has made its largest seizure of illegal timber, totalling more than 5,000 logs, in two weeks of joint operations.

Since late last year, the power to carry out enforcement on illegal logging outside licensed areas has been reverted back to the department from the Sarawak Forestry Corporation.
