KUCHING: Hollywood movies that portray Borneo as an island rich in miracle medicinal plants may impress flora hunters — in a negative way — to make a bee-line for Sarawak, observes a Barisan Nasional backbencher.
Telang Usan assemblyman Dennis Ngau said while such films could popularise the island’s natural beauty, they could also attract those with pharmaceutical interests into thinking Borneo had plants of certain content or ability to cure illnesses.
