Forest reserves' fate to be known soon

THE fate of several forest reserves that may be de-gazetted to make way for the East Klang Valley Expressway (EKVE) will only be known after the middle of this month.

A public inquiry was held from Feb 14 to March 31, inviting stakeholders to give their input on the proposal to de-gazette parts of the Ulu Langat, Gombak, Ampang and Bukit Sungai Puteh forest reserves totalling 106.65ha.
