ABOUT 90% of landowners in Hulu Klang, who hold land that forms part of the Klang Gates Quartz Ridge, have been identified by the Gombak Land and District Office for a land acquisition exercise in an effort to classify the area as a World Heritage Site.
Gombak district officer Datuk Nor Hisham Ahmad Dahlan said the land acquisition involved about 16km of the quartz ridge from Sri Gombak to Hulu Klang, including the famous Bukit Tabur in Taman Melawati, which is a popular hiking spot for locals.
