New range of body and hair care products focus on natural ingredients

IN A MOVE towards organically pure ingredients, Natural by Watsons Argan Oil Body and Hair Care range was launched recently.

A rich concoction designed for effortless radiant skin and lustrous hair, the range contains a perfect blend of Soil Association certified avocado and wheat germ.

The main feature of the ingredients is the Ecocert-certified argan oil, celebrated as Moroccan “liquid gold” and a fundamental beauty ingredient with essential fatty acids and vitamin E.

Boasting products free from harsh chemicals such as paraben, sodium lauryl sulphate, colourants, silicone as well as mineral oil, the range uses an all-natural approach to hair and skincare.

Officially launched with great fanfare at the Mediterranean- themed Al-Amar restaurant in Pavilion, celebrity hosts Reem Shahwa and Megan Tan related their first-hand experience with the range.

Revealing tips from her beauty regimen, Tan said she washed her hair daily, using hair masks once or twice weekly.

“I’ve been told that your scalp is like the skin on your face so you should treat it just as well. I find the products work with all hair types, even oily scalps.

“The organic components worked wonders after a month-long island getaway, which damaged my skin and gave me tangled, frizzy hair,” she said.

Shahwa believes that nature itself is the best source to enhance beauty and she praised the benefits of argan oil.

“Having used the products, I really like that it’s not heavy in its texture because in this heat, you are always looking for that balance between moisture and great texture,” said Shahwa.

Also present at the launch were Watsons Malaysia general manager of trading Caryn Loh, marketing and development director Jessica Ng and marketing controller Danny Hoh.

The range offers shower gel, body lotion, hand cream, body scrub, shampoo, conditioner, hair mask and hair oil.
