DBKL issues over 1,000 compounds and summonses in first quarter

THERE is a staggering 252% spike in the number of compounds and summonses issued for causing obstruction of traffic to date compared to last year, said Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL).

Its enforcement officer, Mohd Hisham Izhar, said from January to March this year alone, 1,092 compounds and summonses were issued during eight joint operations under Operasi Halang and only 310 were issued during the same period last year.
