Wildlife Department officers and rangers given firearms handling course

KOTA KINABALU: Wildlife Department officers and rangers were given a firearm handling, safety and shooting course following a recent violent spat involving villagers and rangers in the interior Nabawan town.

Sabah Wildlife Department director Datuk Dr. Laurentius Ambu said the recent incident happened in Nabawan when the department’s enforcement team went to investigate reports of massive numbers of poached wildlife being illegally sold at the Tamu there.
