Zecon shares down on news of opposition to privatisation

KUCHING: Zecon Bhd’s share price has fallen by about 15% on news that its director and substantial shareholder Datuk Bolhassan Di @ Ahmad Di has opposed the company’s privatisation via the proposed selective capital reduction (SCR).

Investors dumped Zecon shares on concerns that the SCR might not be implemented, and this had driven down Zecon to intra-day low of 63 sen yesterday. On Wednesday, the construction firm lost 3.5 sen to 72 sen.
