MID-APRIL for Zouk Kuala Lumpur sees three consecutive nights of international guest DJs appearing at the club that is now the 52nd most popular club in the world as voted by readers of British club magazine DJ Mag in the newly released annual Top 100 clubs of the year.

The club’s premiere Aristo & Roof Top room starts the ball rolling on April 17 when Hoot presents British veteran Nick Warren making a return to our shores.

You can tell when Warren is on the decks with his perfect mix of driving percussion and soaring musicality.

Warren’s impressive career has seen him release Back to Mine, a staggering eight mix albums for Global Underground, and one for Renaissance.

He is also in control of A&R for record label Hope Recordings, as well as being a member of the highly acclaimed duo Way Out West (with Jody Wiesternoff).

Support for the night comes fro Shazz and Xu.

The international party moves to the Zouk Main Room on April 18 when Fired Up Fridays presents Dutch trance-electro maestro Sander Van Doorn, also making a return to our shores.

With two full length albums, numerous hit-singles, remixes of the worlds biggest artists, sold out gigs in all major venues and festivals worldwide, his own successful record label Doorn Records and a weekly radio show, it’s almost impossible not to have come across the name Sander van Doorn at least once in your life. Support for this night comes from our own trance veteran Fono.

After the cancellation of the Life In Colour festival scheduled for April 19, Zouk have confirmed that the aborted festival’s main headliner Fedde Le Grand will move indoors to play for Saturday’s Loud night in the Zouk Main Room.

No biography of the Dutch artiste/DJ/prodcucer can now pass without mentioning 2006’s Put Your Hands Up For Detroit.

It took one of Holland’s most successful national DJs and propelled him to international stardom.

The track was number one in the singles charts of five countries — Spain, Russia, Finland, Bulgaria and the UK – and scooped a raft of gongs including Best Underground House Track, Best Breaks/Electro Track, Best Breakthrough Solo Artist at the IMDAMid and, Club Banger of The Year at the 6th Annual Club Awards in Miami.

As a creative producer, an inspirational DJ, and an artiste in the truest sense of the word, the passion, integrity and sheer weight of individuality and originality that Fedde brings to the table sees him take his place as one of the most influential electronic pioneers of modern times.

This night’s support will come from Goldfish & Blink and HypeEmBeats.
