award-winning singers from Indonesia, Afgan and Marcell, and Dayang Nurfaizah will be performing live at Istana Budaya, Kuala Lumpur on March 28 and 29.
Afgan kicks off on March 28 with his “L1Ve To Love” concert followed by Marcell and Dayang Nurfaizah’s “Pesona Cinta” on March 29.
This is the first time Marcell and Dayang will perform together and also the first time that all three will perform at Istana Budaya.
Afgan is well known for his jazz, pop and R&B songs and has bagged a total of 19 awards since 2008, including MTV’s Favorite Male Artist and Best Solo Male Vocalist Award in the Indonesian Music Awards 2009.
Afgan also performed the theme song for the SEA Games in 2011. His upcoming “L1Ve To Love” concert is also the title of his third album released last year.
Marcell and Dayang’s “Pesona Cinta” is designed to showcase their unique talents.
Marcell is a leading solo vocal artist with three albums and numerous awards including Best Male Artist at Anugerah Planet Muzik, while Dayang was recognised as Best Female Vocal AIM-20 in 2013.
Both concerts are organised by JAG Concerts & Events (JAG), which has brought in world-class performers like Michael Buble, David Foster and Friends and Diana Ross previously.
JAG owner and founder R. James Alexander Ali Simargolang said: “Afgan, Marcell and Dayang are our first shows for 2014. In the coming months, JAG will be bringing more world-class and leading regional artistes of different genres to KL.
“We are proud to be able to enrich the Malaysian entertainment scene by bringing in artistes from around the world and the region as we know Malaysian fans also yearn to see Nusantara artistes live”.
Tickets are priced from RM150 to RM550.
