Kajang folk see frequent traffic jams as a key issue to be tackled

Daily grind: Traffic congestion on roads in Kajang such as Jalan Mendaling are a daily occurence most residents have to deal with.

APART from being famous for satay, Kajang is also jokingly known as ‘Ka-Jam’ due to the massive traffic volume, especially in the town centre.

Despite various highways around the place, such as the Kajang-Silk Highway (SILK) and Cheras-Kajang Expressway, things still seemed ‘packed’ for the town and for its significant population of 780,000 people.
