JOHN Chandran Pereira, 38, had high hopes when he started operating a food stall in Jalan Railway 1/2, Petaling Jaya Old Town in April 2011.
Little did he know that all his efforts would come to naught as he has been robbed several times, the electricity supply to his shop was cut and the Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ) is demanding he pay RM690 in rental arrears.
