A crew from Unity Dance Studio will be showcasing their smooth moves at the Play It Forward Music & Art Charity Show.
PLAY It Forward is a community of like-minded people who use the expression of music and art as a positive way to give back to society.
The community is organising the Play It Forward Music & Art Charity Show on Feb 26, where local musicians, artists and dancers come together to showcase their talents and raise funds for the community.
The event will be held from 7pm onwards at Black Box Publika, Solaris Dutamas.
Among the performers will be Kyoto Protocol, Prema Yin, Bihzhu, Fazz, Priscillia Xavier, Ally Lew and Unity Crew.
The exhibition will feature works by Alexis Fam, Fauzan Muhammad and Pearl Victor.
Lew, the founder of Play It Forward, believes that music and art is an effective channel to deliver messages and to affect change in the community.
The charity show specifically benefits Mercy Malaysia and a social entrepreneurial effort involving children, called Project Little Marios .
It is aimed at educating the community about the positive expression of creative arts, supporting local talents in the music and art industry and, at the same time, developing a community that supports sustainable socio-economic models and green environmental values.
The show will be supported by iM4U, a non-profit organisation that cultivates volunteerism among Malaysian youth.
Tickets are priced at RM90 and can be
purchased from Lew at 012-319 8016.
