Quality time: Sazzy (centre) believes in living in the moment when she is with her children.
A RECENT survey revealed many working mothers are concerned that they are not spending enough quality time with their children.
Two out of three said they would stop work and spend more time with their children if money was not an issue.
To encourage mothers to make the most of their time with their children, formulated milk powder Friso Gold has introduced the “Our Today Moments” contest, offering mothers 100 lifetime experiences worth a total of RM1mil. It is aimed at encouraging them to make the most of every moment they spend with their children.
Dutch Lady Milk Industries Bhd marketing director Anja Henze said: “Every mother wants to prioritise her time with her children amidst the thousands of things she needs to do, but she can get so caught up that she forgets to appreciate the true joy of growing up with her child.
“This contest serves as an encouragement to mothers to not postpone ‘today’ moments with their precious ones.
“It doesn’t matter if you dream of taking your children on a trip, or making a music video of you singing together — we want to help make it come true.
“Our aim is to empower mothers to prioritise their time with family,” she said.
Friso Gold ambassadors and actresses Belinda Chee and Sazzy Falak both believe in living in the moment when they are with their children.
For Chee, spending time with her daughter Danielle Eng is a priority. “I am a full-time mum and part-time everything else,” she said.
Whenever she is with her twin daughters, Imaan Lily Nazril and Tiara Rose Nazril, Sazzy makes it a point to put away her phone. “There was a time when I kept snapping pictures of my girls and uploading them on Instagram, but that distracted me from fully focusing on my twins.
“So now I keep my phone in my bag whenever I’m with them,” said Sazzy.
Kakiseni director Low Ngai Yuen believes in starting each day right with her four children Zi-Enn, Zi-Weng, Zi-Eu, and Zi-Yi.
“Being there when they wake up and letting them know they can always count on their mother — this is important to me,” said Low.
Creative director of fashion label PU3 Azalea Ramli believes in making use of any available time to be with her son Alriz.
“Even if I have only an hour or less to spare, I’ll take him with me and play a quick round of hide-and-seek or dance to his favourite tune,” she said.
Blogger mum Suhaila Saleh wishes for a trip to Disneyland with her three children. “I know they will be so happy to see Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck,” she said.
Fellow blogger Doreen Phang, on the other hand, dreams of taking music lessons with her three children. “They really love music. It would be great if we can start a family band together!” she exclaimed.
Mothers need not wait any longer for their dreams to become reality. Just enter the “Our Today Moments” contest.
To participate, write down a special lifetime experience (big or small) that you have always wanted to have with your child/children but have not been able to make happen, and why.
Then, attach a proof of purchase (spoon inside product can) of any participating Friso Gold product (Frisomum Gold, Friso Gold 3 or Friso Gold 4 in any size) and mail your entry to: Friso Gold “Our Today Moments Contest”, PO Box 3202, 47507 Subang Jaya, Selangor before Feb 28.
Friso Gold will then fulfil 100 of the most endearing and heart-warming experiences. Besides that, 100 early-bird participants will also win tickets (two adults and two children) to Legoland Malaysia Resort for some unforgettable family fun.
