Give priority to Dayaks, new leadership urged


KUCHING: The Dayak National Congress has called on Sarawak’s new leadership to give priority to the Dayak community, particularly in raising their economic status and protecting native customary rights (NCR) land.

Welcoming news of Chief Minister Tan Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud’s impending resignation, its deputy president Datuk John Tenewi Nuek said it was time for a change after Taib’s 33 years in office.
