MALAYSIA has the potential to become an international tuna port due to its location near to the Indian Ocean which is a tuna spawning ground.

Fisheries Department director-general Datuk Ahamad Sabki Mahmood said this could be achieved easily with good facilities and partnership with other countries which have a similar industry.
