Quarantine procedures are slowing export of pineapples to China


JOHOR BARU: Malaysia is now ready to export fresh pineapples to China but the bureaucratic issues involving quarantine procedures are hitting local pineapple growers.

The first shipment of the fruits to China is scheduled for early next year but it could not proceed as as no approval was given by the Chinese authorities.
