PENANG Free School (PFS), the first English-medium school in South-East Asia and the oldest recorded school in the country, is gearing up for its bicentenary celebration on Oct 21, 2016.

PFS Board of Governors and the Bicentenary Celebration committee chairman Datuk Abdul Rafique Abdul Karim said the school would be producing first day covers and commemorative coins as well as souvenirs, to mark its 200th birthday.
