Orang asli settlers to move only if proper housing is provided


State DAP leaders together with the Orang Asli community standing on top of their shack which was demolished by enforcement officers at Gunung Arong in Mersing, Johor on Jan 24.

MERSING: A group of Orang Asli families are living in fear of having their houses demolished for living in a reserve forest land.

The group’s head Awang Rambai, 48, said that the family was nomadic moving from one place to another before they chose to stay at Gunung Arong here some three years ago.
