JOHOR BARU: A couple were acquitted and discharged by the High Court here for causing grievous hurt to their Indonesian maid and trafficking her.
Businessman Mohd Shukur Suradi, 29, and his wife Daeng Norul Asyikin Bachok, 28, who had been sentenced by a Sessions Court to 15 years each for abuse, broke down in tears upon hearing the verdict.
