After two years of studies and military training, the Form Five seniors of the Royal Military College (RMC) put their best foot forward as they marched towards graduation.
Hundreds of proud parents turned up at the school to witness the passing out parade ceremony held at the parade square in RMC, Sungai Besi recently.
Defence Ministry secretary-general Datuk Seri Dr Ismail Ahmad was the guest of honour. He inspected the guard of honour accompanied by RMC Commandant Kol Wan Ghazali Wan Din.
Eight youths, who had shown excellence in their studies, co-corriculum and military training, were among those honoured for their achievements.
They were Muhammad Yassir Hakimi (Defence Minister award); Muhammad Firdaus Abdul Razak (RMC Commandant), Low Chern Wey (RMC Education director) and Ahmad Imram Hakimi Nadzar (RMC Board of Administration).
The others were Abdul Hariz Abdul Majid (RMC Old Boys 1); Gunalan Subramaniam (RMC Old Boys 2), Abdul Halim Abdul Rahim (RMC PTA 1) and Lau Wen John (RMC PTA 2).
Muhammad Yassir, 17, said: “RMC has transformed me from a village boy to a gentleman with great leadership skills.
“The training had been tough, but meaningful for my personal development.”
He plans to pursue a degree in medicine and later specialise in psychiatric studies.
