A charity bazaar will be held at SStwo Mall to provide the needy an opportunity to sell and introduce their works to the public.

The bazaar, called “Charity Fun-D Bazaar- Lend a hand, Shelter the needy” will be held every Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 6pm until Jan 26.

G Prop Marketing and Manage-ment Sdn Bhd managing director Ho Sweet Fun said the event was aimed at providing a platform for the underprivileged and disabled community to sell and introduce their handiwork, products and services to the public.

“The objective of this event is to help the needy earn an extra income while helping them to boost their self-esteem by being independent and self-reliant.

“It will be one of the longest-running charity bazaars that caters to all NGOs, the disabled community and charitable organisations under one single umbrella,” Ho said during a press conference on the event.

She said the official launch of the bazaar was scheduled at 11am on Dec 15.

It is expected to be launched by Petaling Jaya mayor Datin Paduka Alinah Ahmad.

Ho said while SStwo Mall would be providing the venue, the event was supported by Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ) and Subang Jaya Municipal Council (MPSJ).

The main highlight of the event will be the Human Calculator show by West Wong who was placed third in the World Mental Olympic 2012 in the Flash Anzan category.

The public will discover and witness the potential of the human brain in mental calculations.

Some of the highlights of the event are apet adoption drive by Cherish Life Home and soap making classes by Lovely Disabled Home.

MBPJ will also be setting up counters for assessment fees and renewal of business licences.
