PETRONAS Dagangan Berhad recently flagged off the Experience to Believe, Powered by Primax convoy of 130 super bikers cruising to Johor to join hands with the company’s Road Safety Awareness Campaign at Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Tanjung Datuk, Pengerang, Johor.

The road safety programme was co-organised with Petronas Refinery and Petrochemical Corporation (PRPC), specifically for 300 children from the school, their parents and villagers nearby.

Speaking about the initiative, Petronas Dagangan Berhad’s senior general manager of Retail Business Division Akbar Md Thayoob said, “The Experience to Believe, Powered by Primax” was specially organised for Petronas to engage with our stakeholders and involve them in our community project.

“On top of that, we were also able to provide the super bikers with a platform to experience the power of our products through this road trip.

“Ultimately, we want to give them reasons to believe in the Petronas Primax fuel and what better way than to let them experience it for themselves?” he added.

During the programme, the police also on hand to explain to the children about the safety precautions to take and offences to avoid when on the road.

The police force also demonstrated the techniques of riding motorcycles safely.

One of the participants, the only female rider in the convoy, Hana Hanuryana Md Jani from Kuantan said, “I am glad to be part of the Petronas road safety programme and to be able to do my part to contribute to the betterment of society.”

“The session was indeed meaningful as not only did the children benefit from it, we adults were also reminded to always be vigilant while on the road,” she added.

Apart from engaging with the community, the two-day session also successfully showcased the cost-saving quality of the fuel in terms of the mileage the super bikers achieved with just one full tank.
