KUCHING: More than half of the global halal food industry, which is worth an estimated RM1.8 trillion, comprises non-Muslims, according to Standard Chartered Saadiq Bhd chief operation officer Mohd Nasiruddin Mohd Kamaruddin.
He said the current supply of halal goods and services was not enough to meet demand, signifying that opportunities for growth were “enormous”.
