Navy flies baby heart patient to Kuala Lumpur


Rush to the hospital: The nine-day-old baby boy being wheeled in his incubator to the helicopter upon arriving at the Lumut Naval Base in an ambulance.

A NINE-DAY-OLD infant with heart defects was transported on a mercy flight by the Royal Malaysian Navy to the National Heart Institute (IJN) in Kuala Lumpur.

A Navy spokesman said the Lumut Naval Base received an emergency call from the Seri Manjung Hospital to use one of its aircrafts for the journey at 2.30pm on Nov 7.
