KUCHING: The state government plans to appoint young people as councillors to groom them in decision-making and leadership roles.
Chief Minister Tan Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud said the relevant law would be amended at the coming State Legislative Assembly sitting to increase the number of councillors in local authorities so as to accommodate more young people.
