AS THE extent of the damage caused by Super Typhoon Haiyan (dubbed Yolanda in the Philippines) becomes clear, international emergency relief and humanitarian organisation, World Vision, has declared a global response, appealing for US$20mil (RM60mil) from the global community to finance a massive relief response, details of which are being worked out by staff now on the ground.

On Nov 8, Typhoon Haiyan, considered the fourth strongest typhoon ever recorded, viciously whipped the Philippines, sweeping the Visayas region.
