Groundbreaking ceremony (Left: In white, Chan Mo Lin (Comittee), Mea Wheatley (Trustee/Ex-Chairman), Puan Sri Elizabeth Moggie (Trustee)

IT WAS a historic milestone for 55-year-old SPCA Selangor as a groundbreaking ceremony was held to signify the beginning of works for the new Eco SPCA in its current location on Jalan Kerja Ayer Lama, Ampang Jaya.

The ceremony was officiated by Mea Wheatley who is the longest serving chairman of SPCA Selangor from 1966 to 2004, and together with her late husband Max Wheatley and some expats in 1958, they co-founded the SPCA. Present at the ceremony were also several SPCA committee members, staff, volunteers and friends of the SPCA.
