WITH Deepavali just around the corner, the Penang Hindu Mahajana Sangam has come to the aid of the less fortunate and underprivileged.
Some 150 poor families received hampers consisting of grocery essentials such as rice, oil, milk, noodles and biscuits as well as cash packets from the association at its premises in Jalan Kebun Bunga, Penang, yesterday, in conjunction with the festive celebrations.
