SERIAN: A foreign worker was killed after he was run over by an excavator yesterday.

Kampung Abit, KM98 here where the construction of drainage was taking place.

He was digging behind an excavator when it ran over him around 8.15am.
The 48-year-old driver from Simunjan alleged that he did not know that Kosim was behind the machine.
Kosim was killed instantly, suffering serious injuries all over his body and head.
The body was sent to the Serian Hospital mortuary while police took the driver’s statement.
Meanwhile in Kuching, two friends were attacked by a group
of men after they refused to
surrender their belongings during
a robbery on Friday.
The friends, aged 18 and from Kampung Lintang, were walking along Kuching Waterfront around 9pm when more than 10 men approached them.
When the duo refused to hand over their belongings, the group bashed them up with empty bottles and blunt objects.
They took away a mobile phone and a wallet from the duo before leaving.
A passer-by rang for an ambulance and one arrived later to
send the injured friends for treatment.
A police report was lodged at Central station afterwards.
