THE Governor of Victoria, Australia applauded Special Olympics Kuala Lumpur for its invaluable work in giving people with an intellectual disability the opportunity to participate and achieve glory in sports.

Speaking at a Special Olympics Kuala Lumpur meeting recently, Governor Alex Chernov said, “The Victorian government recognises the importance of this sporting movement which promotes inclusiveness, giving children and adults the opportunity to develop physically and socially. Through sports, we can better appreciate their talent, different abilities and pursuit for excellence.”
