The puppies when they were rescued in Kepong about three months ago
CANINE welfare project Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better (MDDB) has 25 more puppies to rehome.
“We have to find homes for the 25 puppies by this week in order to take in more.
“If we can’t find homes for them, we will be forced to suspend our rescue services until the puppies are rehomed due to space constraints,’’ said MDDB general manager Derene Lee.
The 25 puppies will be put up for adoption tomorrow at Jaya One, Jalan 13/6, Petaling Jaya.
The adoption drive, from 11am to 6pm, will be held at Block NB 1, which is near Old Town White Coffee and 7Eleven.
Among the puppies up for adoption are siblings rescued in Kepong about three months ago.
“The puppies had severe mange and were believed to have been abandoned.
“They have healed and are such good looking pups now,’’ said Lee, adding that MDDB hoped to get both puppies adopted together as they are very close.
She said MDDB also had several three-month-old puppies that were in desperate need of homes.
Lee added that MDDB also needed funds as several rescue cases required veterinary treatment.
“We currently have 16 dogs and 10 puppies in several clinics,’’ she added.
She said those wanting to help MDDB in cash and kind would be able to do so at the adoption drive tomorrow.
