Two cooks grilling satay.
SOME 500 folk from all over the state celebrated Hari Raya Aidil Adha this year with Raja Muda of Perak Raja Dr Nazrin Shah.
They attended a buffet lunch with the royal family at Sekolah Tuanku Abdul Rahman on Jalan Sultan Azlan Shah in Ipoh on Oct 15.
Among them were students from the school and representatives from various governmental departments and government-linked agencies.
They were treated to various traditional dishes that were served from the 10 stalls stationed in the school field.
Among the delicacies served were whole roast lamb, satay, curry and masala chicken, fried noodles, murtabak, rojak, vadei, cendol, ketupat and even Japanese tempura.
Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abdul Kadir was seen accompanying Raja Nazrin Shah and his consort Raja Puan Besar Zara Salim upon their arrival in the school at about 11am.
Raja DiHilir Raja Jaafar Raja Muda Musa and his wife Raja Puan Muda Raja Nor Mahani Raja Shahar Shah, Datuk Bandar Datuk Roshidi Hashim, state secretary Datuk Abdul Puhat Mat Nayan, state assembly Speaker Datuk S.K. Devamany, state MIC chairman Datuk R. Ganesan and state MCA youth chief Datuk Dr Mah Hang Soon were present at the event.
Earlier, Raja Nazrin Shah, Raja Jaafar and Dr Zambry went for the Aidil Adha prayers at the Sultan Azlan Shah mosque in Jalan Raja Musa Mahadi.
