Commuting accidents increasing due to several reasons


KUCHING: Stress and work overloading are some of the factors contributing to the rising number in commuting accidents among Malaysians in the past decade.

National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) chairman Tan Sri Lee Lam Thye said according to Social Security Organisation’s statistics, the country recorded about 18,000 commuting accident cases in 2002.
