KUCHING: While Sarawak will probably become Malaysia’s richest state by 2030, the increasing number of heart patients from the 17 million nationwide to an estimated 23 million by then may be something to be worried about.
Chief Minister Tan Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud said while this was a worrying trend, heart diseases could still be prevented through healthy lifestyle as he had been practising all the while.
