THIS Saturday marks the first Asian launch of ‘Die Fledermous — The Revenge of the Bat!’, an English opera by Co-opera, Australia’s oldest opera company.
The comic operetta is composed by Johann Strauss II. It is about Dr Falke who tells how his best friend Eisenstein, after a drunken masked ball in the 1920s, leaves the doctor naked in the centre of town with only his mask to cover his crown jewels.
