THE Penang Education Department will place emphasis on Bahasa Malaysia as the teaching quality of the subject is not up to mark, said its director Datuk Ahmad Tarmizi Kamaruddin.
“This has caused the performance of our students in the subject to drop,” said Ahmad Tarmizi after receiving his Darjah Setia Pangkuan Negeri (DSPN) that carries the title ‘Datuk’ in conjunction with the Yang di-Pertua Negri Tun Abdul Rahman Abbas’ 75th birthday.
