THE consequences of enacting a law to compel children to look after their aged parents must be seriously considered first in Malaysia.

Perak Bar chairman P. Vivekanandan said many forums had to be set up to discuss the matter, as legislation could be easily enacted but the consequences of such enactments had to be deliberated.
