Exclusive: Enforcement agencies seal off sand-mining site, confiscate items

ILLEGAL sand mining in the heart of Taman Sri Manja, Petaling Jaya may have exposed people in the bustling area to a potential disaster as the operator has been excavating at the base of a 30m Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) pylon.

The 6m-deep gaping hole was hard to miss as a team of 13 officers from various enforcement agencies swooped in on late Wednesday afternoon to shut down the operations.
