JOHOR BARU: The upcoming Umno party election will help to change the negative perception of the party cast by the Opposition, said Johor Baru MP Tan Sri Shahrir Samad.
With the amendments made in the Umno constitution at the last party election in 2009, he said, it would result in a more open contest.
