Taekwondo outfit intend to forge closer ties


THE Penang taekwondo team heading to the 2nd Asian Zone Open Taekwondo Cultural Championships in Guangzhou, China, intend to utilise the opportunity to forge a long-term working relationship with their hosts.

The eight-member team, comprising Mathuraiveran Ravindran (boys’ Under-16), Yuganeswaran Krishnan (boys’ above-17), S. Sathiya Kumar (senior), Tai Li Ling (girls’ Under-13), Koay Yin Yin, Chuah Sue Yi, Chuah Xin Hui and Kung Boon Pei (all competing in the girls’ above-17), will compete in the Aug 9-12 championships organised by the Guangdong Regional Taekwondo Association.
