ROYAL Salute, the world’s leading luxury Scotch whisky, sponsored the Royal Salute 21-Year-Old for guests at the Royal Malaysian Polo Association’s Interna-tional League Final held at the Royal Selangor Polo Club recently.
Royal Salute begins where other whiskies end, as only the most precious whiskies aged for at least 21 years are used to create the masterful and sophisticated blends.
Originally created in 1953 by Chivas Brothers as a tribute to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II upon her coronation, today Royal Salute continues to celebrate inspiring and noble leadership in all walks of life.
The home of Royal Salute is Strathisla, the oldest working distillery in the Highlands of Scotland.
“It is here that the Master Blender selects the very finest casks from the world’s finest collection of highly-aged whiskies, the most precious of which are stored under lock-and-key in the Royal Salute vaults of the distillery.
“Globally, our Royal Salute brand has a very strong association with the world of polo.
“In Malaysia, we have started to form partnerships with the polo club and we believe that such a strategic collaboration will enable more consumers to develop a greater understanding of our brand and at the same time learn to appreciate Royal Salute better,” said Pernod Ricard Malaysia managing director Terence Ong.
Pernod Ricard Malaysia also conducted a private whisky appreciation session with Visa’s privileged guests. Chivas Brothers regional mentoring manager for Asia Darren Hosie led the appreciation session of the Royal Salute 21-Year-Old and Royal Salute 38-Year-Old.
Two bottles of Royal Salute Diamond Jubilee Editions were presented by Pernod Ricard Malaysia to the Royal Selangor Polo Club to be auctioned off for fundraising initiatives of the polo sport in Malaysia.
