PEDESTRIAN bridges are supposed to be a safer option than crossing the road but that is not the case for the three newly-constructed bridges in Brickfields, Kuala Lumpur.

Barely two years after the pedestrian bridges along Jalan Sultan Abdul Samad were completed, vandals have ripped off parts to sell, leaving the bridge in a sad condition and a danger to the public.
