Enforcement lacking towards motorists who refuse to pay fines

THE Selayang Municipal Council (MPS) has announced that it will take stern action against motorists who refuse to pay parking summons and that enforcement officers will go to their homes and clamp their vehicles starting June 30 (StarMetro, June 1).

MPS president Mohd Azizi Mohd Zain said even if the owner was not at home during the visit, they would proceed to clamp the vehicle and it would only be unclamped after the summons was paid as “MPS has given the offenders enough time but many are stubborn and most are repeat offenders.”
